We stand at a fascinating point in history; a moment when — collectively — we are asking profound questions about how we interact with one another. This class explores the responsibilities that a teacher has towards the pastoral care of their students, using real-world examples to highlight the need for psychological awareness in the teaching studio, and also touches upon the unique safeguarding challenges associated with the one-to-one nature of instrumental teaching. This class aims to establish a framework via which we can create a positive teaching culture, and help our students attain excellence through kindness and empathy.
